Reply with quote | #1 | I read in the newsletter that unless we do a session on the work party, then we are not allowed to fish the new water at Bowden. Unfortunately, this weekend I am fishing a competition at Esthwaite, so am unable to do the work party. Does that mean then that I am not allowed on the new water? __________________ WANTED

at the last work party it was suggested that another work party would be held again at Bowdon on the 25-07-09 i am sure if you turn up at this work party you would be allowed to fish.
P.S the meeting is this Thursday..
hope this helps

Reply with quote | #5 | A crackin' turnout yesterday at Bowden and it's looking like it will be an excellent, albeit, shallow water. Well done to the guys who did the first work party as well and did some sterling work there.

Reply with quote | #6 | Are there any more working parties planned at Bowden? I visited it (on the way back from a really good session at Monyash) this afternoon, and noticed there seems to be some unfinished work. I've not been present at the previous work parties, as I've been working, but would like to do my share. I'm well aware, after all, that it's OUR club, and all improvements benefit US, the members. Looks like a promising water, by the way. I was stood by one of the pegs on the left as you walk in, wearing polaroids, when 6 carp, ranging from about 3lb to about 8-10lb 'ish' came right up close to me, within about 6ft. They hardly seemed 'spooky' at all, even when I shifted quickly. Perhaps this is because it's not been fished much recently. Whatever, I'm looking forward to giving it a go. Cheers. |
